Our hotel charges a ridiculous amount for using the internet, so we're trying to use it sparingly.
Yesterday, we visited the London Aquarium as well as the London Zoo!!

After the zoo, we stopped at an authentic Indian restaurant called Marsala Zone. It was the most incredible food we've ever eaten!
 |
On an unrelated note, we passed The World's End pub! |
This morning, we got up at 8:00 and took the underground to the coach station. From there, we took a coach to Cardiff, which is about three hours from London. According to Google, the Doctor Who Experience is a thirty minute walk from the coach station. THEY LIED. It was a good 45 minutes at least, and halfway there, it started to DOWNPOUR.
 |
But we finally made it! |
 |
Poor Ethan was soaked! |
 |
But we sure were excited!! |
You enter the Tardis and are taken on an adventure as if you were actually he Doctor's companion!! It was really, REALLY fun, but sadly no photos were allowed. But it was amazing, and so far, my favorite part of this entire vacation!

We had a great time!! |
 |
a giant lego Dalek!! |
After the Doctor Who Experience, we found a bus to take us back to the coach station. We had three hours to kill and we hadn't eaten yet today, so we went to a pub called O'Neill's. It was the greatest food! I had the traditional fish and chips (outstanding!!) which was served with "mushy peas," a traditional side served with fish and chips (but the mushy peas were REALLY yucky!). Ethan had a gigantic burger literally the size of his head. I had a few bites and that was ALSO astounding. Ethan said burgers have been ruined forever, because no one can ever make a burger to compare. The prices were incredible, too! Overall, an AWESOME culinary experience!!
I've also come to the conclusion that I would NEVER want to drive here. Everyone drives like a maniac!! Even the coach drivers! I think the inner-city speed limit is like 50 (or at least that's how people drive!) It's terrifying.
I love taking the tube, though! It's so convenient and I love not having to fight for parking! The tube here is FAR better than in Paris; I remember how badly the tube stations stunk of urine. The tube stations here are very clean and don't reek at all. It's also easier to navigate (maybe because it's all in English!).
We've had such a great time!! It's almost sad that we are leaving in three days, but I think we'll be glad to be home. I miss my dog and my mom!
